I’m crabby

Crabby for Chesapeake Tempeh Cakes – aka fake crab cakes!
These were tasty (for something made from tempeh – I’m not really a fan).  They were even good despite the fact that I forgot the mayonnaise in the cakes!

We had them with salad and boiled potatoes with dill (and nuttelex).  Seriously yummo.
And, a bonus pic worthy of Cute Overload, my mum’s dog Hamish (who, funnily enough, gets called H-Dog and Hambone – the rest of my family aren’t even vaguely vegetarian!).
Hamish  Good doggy!
Also – I was wondering how many vegans were going to do VeganMoFo this year?  I really want to, but my exams always take over November.  Anyone else keen to do an Aussie one in September or something (while we can still make relatively fun winter food)?

Mmmm I knew they'd be good!!!

Awww H-dog is adorable!!!

I'm undecided about mofo (even though I'm not vegan). I don't know if I can muster up enough enthusiasm for daily postings. I'm lucky to do 2 a month at the moment!

I know - this is the first month all year I've done more than 1 post in a month! But I thought the idea of everyone getting together on something might be nice (and increase our comments!!!).

The crabby cakes look good and Hamish is a cutey, Westies are lovely.

And I am thinking of doing VeganMoFo, I think they're planning for Oct, yeah? I have really slacked off in regards to blogging but I am hoping that by using up cookbooks I will get back into it. Do you want to do Sept. instead?

Also, sure about the AusVeganMoFo, although I'm not going to commit to daily posts. However, it will be good to get me out of my blogging rut, and be a good excuse not to eat crap when Andy goes away!

You should try the cauliflower cake recipe from VegetarianTimes. I've made numerous times and my husband and can't get enough. My nephew tasted one and thought it was crab.
