Ha - that sounded like the opening to The Daily Show (thank jeebus I can watch online!).... I was busy this weekend writing TWO assignments - so glad that they're over so I can start revising for my exams (that start in a both). Yee haw.
Anyway, I had cause to bake on the weekend (there was a small disaster with a giant cupcake tin - you definitely need a faster baking recipe in this thing, Mexican Hot Chocolate Cupcakes are WAY too dense) because of someone's birthday.... I also found vegan sprinkles (yes, I was in Coles and I said "oooh sprinkles" like Homer Simpson):
This was the second thing I baked (the first thing I baked ended up being a faaabulous batch of charcoal!). It was tasteeeeeeeeeee.
And because it was someone's birthday, I made him Oreo Cupcakes to take to uni. I had to use Copha for the icing. I'd read (somewhere) that it was a cool idea to grate the Copha for easy melting. It looked so rad that I had to share!
Of course someone else was stalking for cupcakes on the bench.
Quiet you! Not a peep out of you today!!!!!
Hi everyb
Hey - I won't make you another friend!
Okay, I'll be quiet (for once).
See our nice (quiet!) model with Cam's chips and Curry Sauce? The inspiration comes from here. Don't ask me how he came across it!!! He's planning a series of Chips and Accompaniments From Around the World. Stay tuned......
And compare that not so healthy dinner to my "chicken nugget" salad (thank you asian grocer!). This dinner was exactly what I wanted - a shiteload of veggies with balsamic dressing - it's Paul Newman dressing:(
So, seeing as I seem to be getting more hits because you all love EAR, how about you guys get to vote on what friend I knit him next. All the patterns I use are in "Little & Friends" by Jake Henzler.
I've added a poll to the main page, so vote!!! You have three days....

Great, Cake and chips in the same post! I'm such a junk food vegan. Who knew there were so many international variations of chips? I'll stick to salt and vinegar or gravy I think. Good luck if you try the Vietnamese version!
I couldn't get my vote to register on your poll- but my preference is a no-brainer right?!
Yeah Becks - I'll put you down for a pink bunny. Or maybe I should do a dinosaur to match one of your recent posts! (not that I actually have a dinosaur recipe, I mean pattern)
I'm all over those desserts!!
Mmmmmmm.... Chocolate.
Wow, Amy. Thanks for linking over here from PPK. What a fun blog! And I don't think I can rest now until I've had chips in curry sauce.
those chips look so ooey gooey wonderful! mm. and i defitely think EAR needs a whale friend! i voted, but mr. whale is not winning. boo.
hooray for cupcakes!
I'm hoping EAR gets a whale friend, too! The chips and cupcakes look awesome!
Chips in curry sauce, that's the way to go! I usually have mine with curry ketchup. But I am willing to trown that out and use the sauce instead at any time!
Pinkkkkkkk Bunnnnnny!
And you cakes look delish, I'm sorry to hear the giant cupcake didn't work out as well as you hoped. The first time I made it I was too rough getting it out of the tin and it cracked in half :( try, try again I suppose!
I wish I had some desserts at my house! Yours looks awesome!
OMG. Please make this guy!

Megan - that's the book I'm making the toys from! That's the red crab option (which is difficult, so I'm hoping for the spook myself!).
Pink bunny! Pink bunny!
Great looking foodage. Please send me some of those cupcakes at the clinic.
didyou get the grated copha trick from me? maybe not but i do that, and i posted about it. otherwise you get yuck lumps of copha.blugh
You can melt copha in a microwave too. Then you don't have to wash bits of copha out of the grater
